NP Krka i Šibenik

This special trip offers you more than any other!

In one day you will visit the equally rich cultural (UNESCO heritage of the town of Šibenik) and natural heritage of this region from a totally different perspective - by sailing from the mouth of the Krka river upstream towards the beautiful waterfalls. Krka National Park - 75 kilometre long complex of travertine waterfalls of the Krka river is the largest in Europe. The largest waterfall ‘Skradinski buk’, which can be reached by boat, is 46 meters high and has six steps over which the Krka river flows. Its flow is strongest in spring. The National Park is dotted with hiking trails through the lush, refreshing vegetation and wooden bridges over the river, alongside the waterfalls. The river is suitable for summer swimming under waterfalls, in the safe zone that is fenced by buoys. You will also visit the original ethno village - reconstructed old mills and house with an exhibition and presentation of traditional crafts.

An interesting fact - did you know?

The experience will be complete if you visit the remains of the world’s second oldest hydroelectric plant that was built in only three days after Nikola Tesla designed the first one in Niagara Falls. Then we head to the town of Šibenik where awaits a Renaissance masterpiece by Juraj Dalmatinac (Giorgio da Sebenico)- the Cathedral of St. James - UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the millennial old town of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance architecture.
